writing desk

a few weeks ago I painted and aged this pretty little writing desk, and I like how it looks. But somehow it doesn't really fit in with the rest of my house.. a little to old, a little to dirty... I'm thinking about painting it completely white and then sand it a little...

But first I'm of to my 1:1 desk to study some more... again. ;)

  1. It looks wonderful, I love the shape! But it would look as wonderful in shabby white :) And I love the chair, can I ask where have you bought the table and the chair?

  2. Anneke I love that little desk, I haven't seen any like it. It would look great in my shop!! It would also look great painted white, although looks like you already have a few distressed pieces and it is nice to have a bit of a mix. Chair is lovely too!

  3. Oh what a pity, you have done such a wonderful job of the distressed finish. As soon as I saw it I thought of Margaret's garden shop so it made me laugh to find her comment here :) The shape of the desk is superb. I'd also like to know where you got it.

  4. The finish is very well done , Anneke. :) Will be a pity to paint over that but I am sure you will still do a great job :).

  5. Erg mooi gelukt!

I like it as I am, although the joint chair much maybe that's the problem.
    a hug

  7. I love it, too. My vote is to repaint the chair to match. But I'm sure whatever you decide will be wonderful;~)

  8. I think you did a great job, it could be an old desk with sentimental value to it and that's why it's there. :)
I loved the space you created under the stairs, what a great idea.
